Ham Mac and Cheese

Preheat oven to 350º                                                              
Ingredients:

3 cup of dry macaroni
4 oz ham steak
3 T. butter

3 T. flour
1 ½  cup of milk
12 oz. Velveeta Cheese

Topping: Ritz Crackers

Directions:

Pre-heat oven to 350º

In a large pot bring water to a boil. Add dry macaroni and stir often.  Cook for approximately 12 minutes, or until the macaroni is the desired consistency.

Cut ham into small cubes.

Cut Velveeta into cubes.

Cheese sauce: In a small saucepan melt the butter over medium heat.  When melted, stir in flour until it forms a smooth paste.  Gradually add milk and stir constantly until the milk is steaming. Gradually add cheese and stir constantly until the cheese is melted.

Drain the macaroni with a colander. Make sure it is completely drained.   Put it back in the pot.  Stir cheese sauce and chunks of ham into the macaroni.

Pour mixture into a greased 9” x 12” baking dish.

Crumble Ritz crackers on the top.

Bake in oven for 10 minutes.
