Chili

½ onion chopped
½ green bell pepper chopped
2 T. olive oil
1 can red kidney beans, drained and rinsed
1 (14oz.) can tomato sauce
1 T. chili powder
½ tsp. cumin
½ tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. black pepper
½ tsp. dried oregano
½ tsp. sugar
1/8 tsp. ground cayenne pepper

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Directions
1. In a deep skillet, fry onion and green pepper in 2 T. of olive oil. Cook until soft.
2. Add drained and rinsed kidney beans.
3. Stir in tomato sauce and spices.
4. Bring to a boil. Simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally.
5.  Sprinkle cheddar cheese on the top right before serving.
