Italian Sausage Subs

4 uncooked sweet Italian sausages
½ cup water
1 Tablespoon cooking oil
1 green pepper sliced into strips
1 onion separated into rings
¼ cup Italian style salad dressing
1 Tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
4 hoagie or sub rolls

In a large skillet, cook sausage links and water over medium heat. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.  Uncover and cook sausages, turning frequently, until liquid evaporates and sausages are cooked through.  Watch carefully so that sausages do not burn.  Remove sausages to a plate.

In the same skillet, add the oil, green pepper and onions. Cook and stir about 5 minutes or until vegetables are crisp-tender.  Return sausage links to skillet.  Combine the salad dressing and mustard.  Stir into sausage mixture in skillet.  Heat through.

Place sausages in rolls. Top with pepper and onion mixture.
