Pie Crust

Recipe for top and bottom crust, use with a can of pre-made pie filling.pie 2

Ingredients:
2 ¼ c. flour
1 tsp. salt
¾ c. cold shortening
6 T. very cold water
1 can of pie filling

Directions:
1.  Mix flour and salt
2.  Cut in shortening
3.  Add cold water and stir with a fork until it forms a ball. Split unto two pieces, one slightly bigger than the other. Place largest on lightly floured pastry cloth. Roll with rolling pin from center outwards until it is 3” larger than your pie plate.  Wrap on rolling pin, and place into bottom of pan.
4.  Put in pie filling.
5.  Roll out other dough ball. Wet edge of the pie with cold water. Put the top on the pie. Even off and crimp the edges. Cut holes in the top of pie.

Bake in 400º oven for 25-30 minutes.
