Brunswick High School is a stop on Maine Author Maria Padian’s book tour for her newest novel How to Build a Heart, and the BHS Library is hosting a book launch party! The event takes place this Friday, January 14th, during period 3/4 from 9:45 to 10:45. Maria Padian will talk about the writing process, read from her newest book, and have time for Q & A. How to Build a Heart features a teen girl who is trying to hide her humble background from classmates at her private school while at the same time being chosen by Habitat for Humanity to receive a new home. Kirkus Reviews gave How to Build a Heart a starred review calling it “an absolutely enthralling depiction of family and self-discovery” and named it “One of 16 books we can’t wait for in 2020!” Get a ticket in the Library to have approved and signed by your teacher.
