Create your own “Cento” Book Spine Poem and we’ll snap a picture of it and post it on the bulletin board in the library. Your cento may also get read at Poetry Open Mic Night on April 26th in Crooker Theater. April is National Poetry Month!
What is cento? A cento is a poem pieced together from the words of several authors. Book Spine Poems are created by stacking books, then reading the tiles as though each were a line of verse. This poetic form is known as a cento. So, if you like poetry, words, or just like stacking things, try making a cento out of books in the BHS library…it’s addicting!
