Multi-agers viewed a variety of still-life paintings by various artists, and observed the shadows, highlights, and realistic way artists made them. Using real gourds, students arranged and drew their own still life, and colored them in using chalk dipped in water – a very messy process, but it makes the chalk even more vibrant.
