What is BJH Music “Concert Attire”?

We are entering “performance season” so we wanted to remind everyone of all BJH performing ensembles’ concert attire!

Concert attire for all instrumental and choral performing groups is “concert black”: black from “neck to toes”.

To help you get an idea of the “look” we are going for, we’ve posted some pictures below. Some things to note:

• Ties are optional
• The idea behind “formal concert attire” for any performing ensemble is a “uniform look” for the members of the group.
• A conservative “dressy” look is appropriate: avoid “sports pants”/yoga pants; shoulders and backs should be covered; necklines should be conservative; if wearing a skirt/dress, you’ll need black opaque tights.
