Busy Concert Schedule!
May and June will be a busy time for BJH Band students! Please be sure you have the following events on your calendars:
Tuesday, May 12: Annual All-Town Band Concert at Brunswick High School (Gymnasium); 6:30 PM
The All-Town Concert features all Brunswick Band Students with performances by the HBS 5th Grade Band, the BJH 6th Grade Band, the BHS Concert Band, and the 2015 Brunswick All-Town Band!
BJH students should be in their seats ready to play at 5:30. We’ll be doing a quick run-through of the 5-12 combined piece. The doors open for audience members at 6:00. Just a reminder: We will have 2015 All-Town Band T-Shirts on sale at the concert. Shirts are $10. We can accept cash or checks.
Monday, May 25: Brunswick-Topsham Memorial Day Parade
All of the information for this event was sent home with your band student (pink paper, 2 pages). If you haven’t seen it yet, you can download that paperwork here. Please return the participation form ASAP.
Friday, May 29: Wind Ensemble & Advanced Choir at the Great East Music Festival
This event is for Wind Ensemble and Advanced Choir students only.
Tuesday, June 9: Annual “Celebrate Summer” Outdoor Band Concert and Awards Presentation; BJH Athletic Fields, 6:00 PM
This is the final concert for the BJH 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Concert Bands!
Monday, June 15: “Jazz for the Next Generation” Jazz Residency with special guest artist Trent Austin; Brunswick United Methodist Church; concert time to be announced.
The Jazz Residency is for Jazz Band students only. The concert is free and open to the public!
