1.  Finish Pop-up Paper Landscape: 5 layers with values from light in the background to dark in the foreground, overlapping, position objects from low to high, large object in foreground with LOTS of detail, small object in background with VERY LITTLE detail
2.  Skill Sheets when finished
3.  Find Bobblehead and base – pose for PHOTO SHOOT!  Make the same facial expression as your character!
4.  If time allows: discussion of Glaze Rules to prepare for tomorrow

1.  Finish visual brainstorming – sketch obvious and not-so-obvious abstract patterns inspired by objects.
2.  Create your own abstract pattern for your printmaking project:

  1. trace a rectangular piece of linoleum on computer paper,
  2. choose an object that will inspire your pattern,
  3. create a not-so-obvious pattern that will fill the space with “carveable” shapes, draw it carefully,
  4. go over your lines HEAVILY with a #2 pencil
  5. cut out rectangle
  6. “print” pencil drawing onto linoleum

3.  If time, carving safety demo, and begin carving
