Brunswick High School offers a comprehensive program of academic excellence that affords students the opportunity to realize their potential and make a valuable contribution to society.  A full complement of core and extracurricular programs is available to students in grades 9 through 12.

The Community

Education, arts and community have always been a trademark of Brunswick, a town of 21,000 residents on Maine’s beautiful seacoast situated on Casco Bay.  It is 30 miles from the state’s largest city, Portland, and the capital, Augusta. Bowdoin College is a mainstay in our community and nearby Bath Iron Works has been national leader in Naval shipbuilding for over 100 years.


Brunswick High School is accredited through the State of Maine and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.

Graduation Requirements

A student must earn a minimum of 21 1/2 credits and meet the standards in the district’s comprehensive local assessment system.  Maine Studies is required of all students who have not completed this state requirement.  All students must complete 30 hours of community service, demonstrate computer proficiency and have the following credits to graduate:

Class Rank GPA

The class rank is based on seven semesters using a 100-point system and is weighted.  Grade point average is unweighted.
