IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING SCHEDULED BREAK FROM SCHOOL DUE TO THE CONVID 19 VIRUS

March 16, 2020

Hello, I hope that you are well. As I mentioned during our final class before the mandated break from attending school, you are to follow the class syllabus as we have throughout the year. The first class during this home-school period of time is DAY 14, (DAY 15 for Juniors).

You are encouraged to submit assignments to Turnitin as we have throughout the year. Yes, I will make sure that those assignments are posted on Turnitin. Presently the announced break from school is anticipated to be five class days. If we return to school after the announced two-week period we will begin with DAY 19, (DAY 20 for Juniors), of the class syllabus.

If you have questions with respect to any assignment you may email me. I am committed to work from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. During this time I will address questions regarding your work. We will focus on formative assessments. That is to say that any assignment that you feel that you struggled with due to lack of instruction will be reconsidered when we resume classes so that you can receive the instruction that you require.

We have talked frequently throughout the year about doing what is right. During this trying time we are presented with an opportunity to follow a course that is best for one and all. Do what is right for yourself and remain current with your school work to the best of your ability. While you may communicate with your classmates in order to share insights please ensure that your work is your own. Yes, I will miss you and I want you to remember that your well-being takes precedence over any other consideration.

My best to you,
Mr. Dwyer
