Today, as a preview exercise, we will view segments of Oprah Winfrey’s interview with Cormac McCarthy, author of THE ROAD.  You will also read excerpts from McCarthy’s notable novels or read quotes about writing by McCarthy.  We will discuss your reaction to these selections in order to provide you with a perspective of McCarthy’s style and the common themes expressed in his novels.
