September 2012
Dear Coffin School Families,
On behalf of each and every staff member at Coffin School, welcome to the 2012-2013 school year.
As the incoming principal of Coffin School, I had the privilege this summer of meeting individually with almost every staff person. What an uplifting and inspiring introduction to our fabulous community! Coffin School is filled with educators who are unanimously positive, incredibly capable and very excited about working with your children. I assure you that your child’s social, emotional, physical, and academic well-being and development are at the forefront of all our efforts here at Coffin School.
The question most posed to me so far has been, “How can I help you?” Let me extend that same opportunity to each of you. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at any time with questions, concerns, or commendations. Open and regular communication between home and school is essential to helping your child reach his/her fullest potential.
I invite you all to feel welcome at Coffin School. Our doors are always open and there are multiple opportunities to volunteer and to participate in school events throughout the year. Our annual Open House is scheduled for Thursday, September 27 from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. and we hope to see you there.
As you’ll discover, active parent volunteers are an essential ingredient to the success of our school. The Community for Coffin (CFC), our parent group, offers invaluable support and the resources they share greatly enhance your child’s educational programming. Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month and you are all welcome and encouraged to attend.
Please take a few minutes to sit with your child and carefully review the student handbook – click HERE for the link. It is intended to better acquaint you with Coffin School and we trust that you’ll find the contents informative and helpful.
We are going to have a great year at Coffin School and are looking forward to working closely with and you and your children.
Please feel free to contact me any time.
Sincerely,
Steve Ciembroniewicz, Principal
