Good morning Coffin Community,
This is Mr. Ciembroniewicz and I’d like your attention for one
minute on this Monday morning as I share a few thoughts with you.
As I’m sure you know, tomorrow is voting day in Brunswick, Maine
and across the entire United States.
Citizens will be fulfilling their civic responsibility and casting
ballots for the men and women they want to represent them in government. That word ‘responsibility’ is an important
one and I’m also sure that you’ve heard it many times here at Coffin
School. When I hear the word ‘responsibility’,
I also hear the word ‘response’ and it makes me think of action. I believe that being responsible means taking
action.
While I know that many of you are still too young to vote, I
challenge you to fulfill your civic responsibility
and be informed about tomorrow’s elections.
Do you know who our candidates are for President of the United
States? What about our candidates for
the United States Senate (hint:
Brunswick, Maine is very important here)? I’ll make sure that a sample ballot is posted
on the door outside the office if you’d like to see it. Each one of us being responsible – taking positive
actions to support our larger community – is important in all aspects of our
lives and I appreciate your willingness to take up this challenge
As always, it makes me proud to see all the joy and enthusiasm
that each of you bring to Coffin School. As Baxter Bear would say, be kind, be
gentle, be safe – and, do good work.
Have a great week.
