The MPA (Maine Principal’s Association) permits out-of-season sports to conduct opportunities for interested athletes from June to August 1. The following schedule represents the softball activities presently scheduled.
Mondays: June 25 & July 2, 9, 16, and 23
5:00-7:00 p.m. Practice for all interested Brunswick High School girls
Wednesdays: June 27 & July 11, 18, and 25
Game Day. 5:00-7:30 p.m. Wednesdays are designed to be game days. We have to have enough interested girls in order to facilitate the games. Experienced junior high school players along are welcomed along with alumni to complement the high school aged players.
July 9-13 Brunswick Parks & Recreation Summer Softball
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Location: Edwards Field
Any high school girl who is interested in offering her time to help young girls enjoy the sport of softball is invited to attend this opportunity. Any of you familiar with Coach Sullivan’s summer softball camp previously held at Lishness Field in the past will appreciate this event. I hope to have as many high school-age softball enthusiasts to provide instruction and leadership for these younger girls. You will earn community service time for attending. That time will be applied to the community service requirements of Brunswick High School graduates.
