2023 Softball Fundraising/Events

2023 SOFTBALL
FUNDRAISING & EVENTS

BOOSTERS / STUDENT ATHLETE ACTIVITIES:

Fundraising isn’t anyone’s favorite thing to do, but, if we can do a good job at this we can use these funds to
make the program better for current and future players through field improvements, equipment purchases,
team apparel, team bonding activities, or whatever else is needed to make this program fun and exciting for
all. Here’s what we have so far:

* Continue obtaining local business support with advertising signs – Any businesses to also be
recognized at a game in May designated “Sponsor Day”. The signs mounted on the press box we
are asking for a business to make a 5 year commitment. The cost, if paid up front, is $650/year or
$3,250.00 ; if paid in installments it would be $1500/1st year and 3 payments of $750 the following
3 years for a total of $3750.00.
* We would like to have at least 2 car washes – location to be determined – most likely 2 Sundays
Charge would be “by donation”
* We have 200 4” circle decals that can be put on vehicles or wherever someone would like to put
them! The cost for these was $160 … selling them for $5 each / 3 for $10
* Clynk bags can continue to be distributed to anyone willing to donate. Do an actual bottle drive?
* SNACK SHACK – This will be a great addition to funding our program. I saw that Girls ice hockey
raised almost $4,000.00 from operating their snack shack! If there are other games occurring at the
field where the team isn’t operating a snack shack we could also consider opening for these events
as well. We will need a parent to set up a sign up genius requesting volunteers for each game date:
– Manning the shack
– Fridge, hot water dispenser, microwave, griddle, crock pot? Seitz family will donate fridge!
– Supplying products to sell such as water, Gatorade, Chips, popcorn, hot dogs, pizza, maybe a
hot dish, walking tacos, etc.
* Apparel – Seniors are selecting Varsity team jackets – each player will be asked to contribute towards their jacket. Orders to be made as quickly as possible!
* May clinics for interested non high school players.  2-3 Saturdays in May (after practice if held) $20 per player per session
* PIE DAY – We will try to select a day where there are multiple games at the school and serve pie
And ice cream under a tent by the snack shack! After the game? Pie in the face of selected
teachers?
RAFFLE – The month of May we will sell raffle tickets with the grand prize being Red Sox Tickets
for a weekend home game donated by the Seitz Family!! We will also obtain other raffle items for
different prizes. Drawing to be held at last home game.
SENIOR DAY! – Honor our seniors – announce each with a short bio of accomplishments and future plans. Cakes, flowers, cupcakes for all players, and whatever else we can do to make the recognition meaningful and memorable!

Seniors will also set up JV – Varsity events to bring all players together for the program. These will include 3-4 pasta dinners or pizza parties. Additional ideas to help gather
us all together as a program are welcomed.  Seniors are our leaders for this opportunity.

Volunteers:
Mary Lord & Carrie Sullivan – flyers for clinics – need dates from Coach Dwyer that are acceptable.
Seniors- setting up and obtaining pie in the face faculty members
All parents to donate & volunteer as possible throughout season for Pies, other baked goods, man
snack shack, etc.
Car washes – Tiegan to find locations and set dates & times the week prior.
Snack Shack and raffle – Kim & Greg Morin will help get these going!
