Meet the Teacher

I am so excited to introduce myself as your child’s first grade teacher! This will be my fifth year teaching first grade at Coffin Elementary. First grade is truly where my passion lies and I am so lucky to be a part of Coffin School’s community of learners (both teachers and students)!

To tell you a little bit about myself outside of the classroom:

My husband, Ryan, and I live in Yarmouth with our two children. Brady is our oldest (going into fourth grade) and Colby is our youngest (going into first grade). We also have a new puppy, Ziva! She is a Belgian Malinois and couldn’t be a better fit for our family! We are so excited to have her! We love to go camping, skiing, snowboarding, running, and biking as a family. Another passion of ours is sailing. I used to teach children how to sail their own sailboats (optimists), which is what lead me to teaching in the first place! I now just teach private lessons and race on Casco Bay throughout the Summer/Fall months on my dad’s boat (a Hallett33 names “The Family Wagon” – the third boat he has built in addition to running his sail shop in Famlouth).

I have my Master’s Degree in Teaching and Learning from the University of Southern Maine, my Bachelor’s in Sociology, and my Associates in Behavior Health and Human Resources.

**Pictures coming soon!!**

I am very much looking forward to another fabulous school year with an amazing group of kiddos! I can’t wait to meet and learn all about you all!
