# Science class Fri. 11/20

Students wrote the Discussion portion of their lab reports today.

HW: Revise and edit Discussion section.  Revising and editing checklists are in the Google Classroom stream.

# Science class Thurs. 11/19

Students finished building and measuring with their sailboats, and began to graph the averages of their data.

HW: Finish graph, if not done in class.

# Science class Wed. 11/18

Students began building and testing the different variations of their sailboats, following the procedures that they wrote.

HW: No HW

# Science class Tues. 11/17

Students continued working on their lab reports.  Testing tomorrow!

HW: Finished Introduction, Materials, Procedure, and data table ready to be filled in.  In other words, ready to build and test!

# Science class Mon.11/16

Students developed a procedure for their sailboat lab investigations.

HW: Missing work?  Finish and turn in!
Missing revisions?  Finish and turn in!
Not caught up = not building sailboats!

# Science class Fri. 11/13

Students continued developing their sailboat experiments, solidifying details and writing hypotheses.

HW: No HW

# Science class Thurs. 11/13

Students built and sailed floor sailboats, and groups began designing scientific experiments involving the boats.

HW: No HW

# Science class Tues. 11/10

Students investigated more examples of force pairs with Newton’s Third Law, and dived into some misconceptions surrounding the law.

HW: Newton’s Law HW (see handout)

# Science class Mon. 11/9

Students practiced with some examples of Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion, then investigated the 3rd Law with skits, discussion and a demonstration.

HW: No HW

# Science class Fri. 11/6

Students played a balancing and equation game, and related it to our study of forces and Newton’s Laws of Motion.  Then we focused on the Second Law of Motion with a reading and Guide-O-Rama.
