Welcome to FLY 2019
We are now accepting applications for the 2019 edition. Please carefully read the program’s description in the home page and the following:
Brunswick is very fortunate to have community members who have an appreciation for world languages and understand the value of sharing that knowledge with elementary level students. All of the instructors for these classes are veteran or new volunteers who have committed to attending meetings, planning lessons, and teaching your child. The schedule is set according to their availability; all classes are after school from 3:10 to 4:15. Each instructor will communicate with you to keep you informed of expectations and happenings. This year’s offerings are as follow:

*FULL*Friday: Japanese with Hiro Aridome and his Bowdoin students*FULL*
*FULL*Friday: Latin with Ian Ward and Bowdoin students*FULL*
*FULL *NEW* French on Tuesdays with HS students and Peg Nulle *NEW* FULL*
* Japanese and Latin on Fridays are taught by Bowdoin students and classes will be held 1/25, 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 3/1, 3/29 and 4/5 with Celebration Night on Tuesday April 9th.
Because space is limited to 12 students per class, we ask that you and your child be committed to attending the classes. If you must cancel at any time, please let the instructor know so that someone on the waiting list may fill the spot. Please note that F.L.Y. follows the official School Department Calendar. If school or after school activities are cancelled, F.L.Y. classes are also cancelled. Classes begin the week of January 7th and continue the weeks of 1/14; 1/22(no school on 1/21, MLK day); 1/28; 2/4; 2/11; (no class the week of 2/18, winter vacation); 2/25; 3/4 (no class on 3/8, Professional Development); 3/11; 3/18 (no class on 3/20, early release); 3/25, and 4/1. We will close the program with the traditional Celebration Night Banquet on Tuesday April 9th.
