Hello Everyone!

The BHS Studio is a part of the library program at Brunswick High School that produces and broadcasts live daily announcements known as The First 5.  A student crew operates the studio, supervised by Mrs. Jerome, the school librarian.

Our shows included The First 5 (morning announcements), World News, Weather Show, and Inside BHS, until March of 2012, when significant budget cuts in our school department eliminated the library staff member who supervised the studio and provided video production services to students and teachers.  Check The First 5 page to view our daily announcements.  Click the menus on other pages to see the most recent editions of shows that we are no longer able to produce because of this staffing cut.

The studio crew uses cameras, teleprompters, GlobeCaster broadcasting software and a blue screen to produce all shows.

Crew member roles include: directing, editing, script writing, anchoring, camera work, studio managing, audio mixing, and media playback.  All jobs are important to the success of each video production!
