Application Information
Please note: If you are applying for more than one opening, you must submit a complete set of application materials for each position. Only completed applications with requested materials will be considered for interviews. All teachers and educational technicians must have State of Maine Certification.
Required: fingerprinting and background checks, unless you hold a State of Maine certification as a teacher or an educational technician.
There are two parts to the fingerprinting and background check process:
- register for fingerprinting ($55.00) fee online
- at the same time, download the Initial Educational Approval Application Form (this is the criminal history background check, also called CHRC) and mail it to the Department of Education with a $15.00 feel. If you do not have access to the web, please call the Department of Education at (207) 624-6603 to register.
Application Process
Faxed or electronic applications will not be accepted. All applications should be mailed to Paul Perzanoski, 46 Federal Street, Brunswick ME 04011. Applications are then sent to principals who do initial interviews. The superintendent then conducts interviews for final candidates. Only completed applications with requested materials will be considered for interviews. Applications are kept active for a year.
