Students who choose to pursue the BHS STEM endorsement will complete all the traditional Brunswick High School graduation requirements while simultaneously completing a challenging and enriching selection of additional STEM elective course requirements. These elective course requirements will allow students to individualize their studies based on their personal interest.
To meet the elective course requirement for the STEM endorsement, students must complete 3 courses from the following list.
1) Additional Math course(s) (beyond the core requirement of a 4th year of math)
2) Additional Science course(s) (beyond the core requirement of a 4th year of science)
3) Computer Science course(s)
4) Additional Technology Course (beyond the core requirement of the three technology courses)
5) Approved Extended Learning Opportunity (ELO)

This elective course requirement can be met by taking any combination of courses, for example students may choose to take 1 science course (beyond the 4 required courses under core requirements), 1 math course (beyond the 4 required courses under core requirements), and 1 computer science course to fulfill the elective course requirement. A student may also opt to take multiple elective courses within the same discipline, for example a student may opt to take 2 computer science courses and 1 technology course to fulfill the elective requirement.
