Identify three essential conflicts  (a serious disagreement or argument), from the play The Crucible.  Discuss, using passage evidence from the play, the three conflicts, reserving your most important conflict in the final body paragraph.

Your completed essay will be five paragraphs in length:

The Introduction:

1.  Identify the title of the play and the author
2.  Summarize the plot of the story
3.  Provide an anecdotal passage from the play that emphasizes your summary.
4.  Explain how the selected passage relates to your composed thesis.
5.  Express your thesis.

The Body:

1.  Topic Sentence
2.  Express an opinion without using “I” or “Me” (do not draw attention to yourself).
3.  Provide passage evidence from the play to support your expressed observation.
4.  Clarify how the passage supports the topic sentence.
REPEAT STEPS 2-4 AT LEAST THREE TIMES
5.  Conclusive Sentence
THIS COMPOSITION WILL HAVE THREE BODY PARAGRAPHS

The Conclusion: 

1.  Restate your thesis statement
2.  Spotlight the important points expressed i n your body discussion.
3.  Include a final summary passage that is used to emphasize the most important observation that you make.
4.  Conclude with a thematic statement–the lesson of life statement of your essay.
