Upcoming Events: “Tis the season to be….BUSY!”
November 13 & 15: BJH Musical “Seussical”, BJH Gymnasium, 7:00 PM
The BJH players will be presenting Seussical, the Musical on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14 at 7:00PM in the BJH gym. Come and see the journey of Horton the Elephant as he champions the Who’s and declares that “a person’s a person, no matter how small.” See the inspiring Bird Girls, the mischievous Wickershams and the enigmatic Jungle Creatures as they sing and dance their way through the story. Gertrude with her kind heart and Mayzie with her difficult choices are also joined by the Sour Kanagaroo and Baby Kangaroo. Tickets are $8.00 and can be purchased at the door. Doors will open at 6:15PM. Cabaret seating will be auctioned off each evening as well with bidding starting at 6:15. We hope to see you there!
November 18: Music Boosters Meeting, 6:30, BJH Band Room
All parents/guardians/interested community members are welcome to attend! BJH Music Boosters is a service organization made up of adults who wish to support BJH Music. Please attend our meeting and lend your voice and expertise to our group.
December 5: Annual Music Boosters Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale
This is one of 2 major fundraisers for Music Boosters. The sale runs from 8 AM- 11 AM. We’ll be selling Christmas trees, decorated wreaths, and baked goods. There are still some volunteer positions open for this event. Visit http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b084bacaf2da64-bjhmusic to sign up.
We are also asking all Band and Chorus Parents to consider baking for the bake sale. You’ll receive more information via email soon.
December 8: Sixth Grade Band and Chorus Concert at BJH
This concert is for all 6th grade Band and Chorus students. The concert begins at 7:00. Band students will report to the band room at 6:30 to warm-up. Dress for the concert is “formal concert attire”: black from the waist down, white dress shirts. This concert should be 40-45 minutes long. Sixth grade parents will receive a separate “reminder” but we wanted everyone to be sure they had it on their calendar at this extremely busy time!!!
December 10: Wind Ensemble Performance at the High School
BJH Wind Ensemble students should arrive at the high school at 6:00 PM. We will meet in the cafeteria. The plan is to get about 15 minutes of “on stage” time before the doors open so we can get a feel for the acoustics of the theater and get used to the lighting, etc…Doors will open for the audience at 6:30. Order of the concert is BJH Wind Ensemble, BHS Wind Ensemble, BHS Symphonic Band. The concert should be over by 8:30 (at the latest).
December 15: Seventh & Eighth Grade Chorus Concert at BJH
The concert begins at 7:00 in the BJH Gymnasium. Admission is free.
January 20: Seventh & Eighth Grade Band Concert at BJH
7th & 8th Grade Band parents will receive more information about this concert as we get closer to the date….Just wanted to be sure you knew it was “coming up”!
