December 5 (yes…that is NEXT WEEK–Yikes!): Wind Ensemble Concert at the High School
BJH Wind Ensemble students should arrive at the high school at 6:00 PM. We will meet in the cafeteria. The plan is to get about 15 minutes of “on stage” time before the doors open so we can get a feel for the acoustics of the theater and get used to the lighting, etc…Doors will open for the audience at 6:30. Order of the concert is BJH Wind Ensemble, BHS Wind Ensemble, BHS Symphonic Band. The concert should be over by 8:30 (at the latest).
To prepare for next week’s concert, Wind Ensemble will rehearse Wednesday 11/28, Thursday 11/29, Monday 12/3 and Wednesday 12/5 (no rehearsal on Thursday 12/6). All rehearsals begin at 7:05 AM. Please encourage your child to be on time : )
December 8: Annual Music Boosters Christmas Tree & Wreath Sale
This is one of 2 major fundraisers for Music Boosters. The sale runs from 8 AM- 12 PM. We’ll be selling Christmas trees, decorated wreaths, and baked goods. There is more information below about the sale and how you can help by volunteering your time and baking skills!! : )
December 14: Winter Jazz Night at the High School
This concert involves Jazz Band students. The concert begins at 7:00 PM at BHS and will feature the BJH Jazz Band and the BHS Jazz Ensemble. Jazz Parents should already have this date on your calendars from the “contract” you and your child signed. I’ll let you know arrival times, etc….in the next week or so. Dress for the concert will be black bottoms, white dress shirt with collar and cummerbunds and bowties which the students will get when they arrive for the performance.
December 18: Sixth Grade Band and Chorus Concert at BJH
This concert is for all 6th grade Band and Chorus students. The concert begins at 7:00. Band students will report to the band room at 6:30 to warm-up. Dress for the concert is “formal concert attire”: black from the waist down, white dress shirts. This concert should be 40-45 minutes long. Sixth grade parents will receive a separate “reminder” as we get a bit closer to the concert date but I wanted everyone to be sure they had it on their calendar at this extremely busy time!!!
January 15: Seventh & Eighth Grade Band Concert at BJH
7th & 8th Grade Band parents will receive more information about this concert as we get closer to the date….Just wanted to be sure you knew it was “coming up”!

Hello Music Boosters,
We have an exciting new idea for our bake sale during the Tree & Wreath sale on Dec. 8th. As requested in the last email, please everyone bake for this sale.
But, if you bake cookies, don’t individually wrap all of them. We will set up a “Cookie Buffet” and customers can choose a variety of cookies that we will sell by the dozen. We are very excited about this and hope to see a variety of cookies; especially delicious Christmas types.
And of course, if cookies aren’t your thing, we need breads, whoopee pies, cakes, whole pies, etc. We just need you to bake.
Also, we still have 2 openings for the 7:30 shift and 1 for the 9:00 shift if you can help out.

We currently have NO volunteers for the 10:00-12:00 shift! If you can volunteer your time, please contact Claudia.
Tree & Wreath volunteers will be outside assisting customers with tree selection, helping to load their purchases onto vehicles if requested, etc… It’s a festive and fun way to spend a couple of hours!!
