LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE MATH RTI TEACHER, BHS:  Long-term substitute opening at BHS for a Math Response-To-Intervention teacher.  Duration of opening will be for the duration of the academic year.  The role requires working with students below benchmark in math and helping them to address specific areas of need in math.  Requires the ability to work with students of various math levels and to manage student progress.  Appropriate Maine Certification and DOE Criminal History Records Check (CHRC) approval are required.  Please submit a teaching application.

FOOD SERVICE SUBSTITUTES. Seeking individuals willing to work 3-4 hour shifts as a food service worker in our schools.  Must have current CHRC (DOE Criminal History Records Check) approval.

Applications are accepted year-round for the positions listed below. We seek applicants with at least a bachelor’s degree; teaching degrees are highly desirable. Criminal history record check with fingerprinting (CHRC) is required.

  • Substitute Teachers: must have two years of college and have Maine DOE Background Check Approval
  • Substitute Nurses: must have RN Certification and have Maine DOE Background Check Approval (use substitute teaching application above)
  • Tutors (use Substitute Teaching or Tutoring application above)
  • Substitute Bus Drivers: Hourly rate of $20.73
    Class B Maine driver’s license with P & S endorsements and Maine
    DOE (CHRC) Criminal History Records Check is required.
