Today is Thursday, June 21st, and it’s an ORANGE Final Exams Day. 
​As a way to honor her dedication to the Performing Arts program at Brunswick High School, and the many lives she has touched over the years, the BHS Players are establishing a Performing Arts Scholarship in honor of our longtime Director, Pam Mutty, who retired from directing last year after 23 years. This annual scholarship will be given to one deserving student who has dedicated his or her time in high school to BHS Players, and who plans to pursue a career in performing arts. BHS Players Alumni and all Community members are invited to join the celebration and support performing arts in our community. Current BHS Players and Alumni will be performing songs from many of the incredible productions throughout Pam Mutty’s tenure as Director. Join us on June 30th at 7 p.m. in Crooker Theater for the Pamela Mutty Performing Arts Scholarship Benefit Gala & Concert. Tickets are $25 for Adults and $20 for students &seniors. All proceeds go to the Pamela Mutty Performing Arts Scholarship. Attention (soon to be) college-bound seniors: Jumpstart the college application process! On Wednesday, August 22nd, from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the Black Lab, the Counseling Office will offer students a free workshop on the Common Application. Register and complete most of the Common Application, discuss the essay prompts and resume activities, learn how to match the Common Application with Naviance, request teachers for recommendations, and sign the FERPA waiver agreement. This workshop is especially appropriate for those who might apply early decision/early action.​ Availability is first come first served. See your counselor for more details.
Attention all Students: The Computer Applications Proficiency Test will be given today at 12:15 – 1:45 (during make-up time). Please see Mrs. Bartley-Wing in Room 137 to register for the Computer Applications Proficiency Test.
All students who are registered for AP American History next year must stop by and see Mr. Flanagan in Room 211 to pick up their summer assignment and textbook.​
If you are taking AP Statistics next year, please stop by Mrs. Grove’s room, Room 103 before the end of the year to pick up your summer assignment.
Students taking Honors Human Anatomy and Physiology next fall: You can pick up the summer reading assignment in Mrs. King’s room, room 226, on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.
All students signed up for Honors Humanities next year must stop by and see Mr. Flanagan in Room 211 to collect the summer reading assignment.
Math Team members: Please pick up summer work from Mr. Porter in Room 101.

Sports Announcements from the Coaches:

There will be a Cross Country meeting on Thursday at noon in the Cafeteria for students who plan on running this fall. ​

​One Day, One Epic Field Hockey Game!​ The Field Hockey Team is challenging the BHS Football Team in a field hockey game on July 14th! The game will take place at the high school from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. All proceeds from this “Donations Challenge” game will help support the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital and Drive Out Cancer event on August 25th. Hope to see you at the game on July 14th!
Interested in improving your tennis game this summer? Summer Tennis sessions will take place on Mondays from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. on the Brunswick High School tennis courts. Contact Coach Leighton ( or Coach Kunhardt ( for more information.

Cub Camp is back! Cub Camp will be held at Coffin School from July 9th to August 9th, Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cub Camp needs BHS volunteers to help with their programs and activities. They are flexible but you must enjoy working with little kids. See Mr. Wilson to sign up. 
Interested in law, justice and the legal system? Take part in Maine Youth Court Summer Volunteer Training! Training sessions will take place at Brunswick High School from Tuesday, July 10th to Thursday, July 12th from 9:00 am to 3:00 p.m. Trained Youth Volunteers act as advocates and judges using a restorative justice framework to create an agreement that works with all parties involved when a law or school rule has been violated by young people. Volunteering with the Maine Youth Court involves meeting about twice a month for a few hours after school. Taking off a season for a sport or other activity is possible.
