The Maine Youth Action Network is recruiting high school students to be part of its Youth Policy Board. This Youth Policy Board will bring together high school students from different towns to work on issues they feel are most important. They will research the issues, brainstorm solutions, and present their recommendations to local decision makers. This group is a great way to develop leadership and public speaking skills, as well as make new friends, and go on some fun outings! The group will meet one night a week, and one Saturday a month, from January through June (location TBD). Food will be provided, and transportation can be arranged. We will be hosting an Information Session on Wednesday, January 3rd, at 5:30 p.m. at 50 Lydia Lane, South Portland. See your counselor in the Counseling Office for more information.
